About the Initiative
Jnana Sadrusham is Sadrusham Foundation’s flagship education initiative focused on strengthening rural and remote government schools.
Launched from a small pilot that supported 50 students in Kunigal taluk in 2013, the program now runs annual events that provide academic essentials, hygiene training, and digital awareness to underserved children. Since inception, Jnana Sadrusham has reached over 2,000 schools and positively impacted thousands of students.

What We Provide
Every year, Sadrusham distributes comprehensive school kits designed to meet the essential learning needs of each child.
Each kit includes:
- Textbooks
- Notepads
- Pen/Pencils
- Geometry boxes
Impact Highlights
1,200+ students supported annually with complete school kits.
2,000+ kits distributed across multiple government schools since inception.
Improved attendance and enthusiasm observed among supported students.
Greater participation of girls, reducing dropout rates in rural areas.
Increased parental awareness about the value of education.
Why It Matters
In many rural homes, even small expenses on notebooks or school bags can push children out of classrooms.
A simple school kit restores confidence, dignity, and motivation giving every child an equal start to the academic year.
Jnana Sadrusham embodies Sadrusham Foundation’s belief that education begins with access and that a book in a child’s hand is a step toward a brighter future.
Our Reach
Jnana Sadrusham focuses on reaching rural and government schools across Karnataka where access to quality education remains a challenge.
Our volunteers personally visit these schools to understand student needs and deliver school kits that make a real difference.
Over the years, we have successfully conducted school-kit drives in:
- Government Higher Primary School – Alkere, Kunigal Taluk, Tumakuru District
- Government Higher Primary School – Boodihala, Raibag Taluk, Belagavi District
- Government School – Jamakhandi, Bagalkot District
- Government School – Hirehala, Ron Taluk, Gadag District
- Government School – Jainapur, Bijapur District
- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya – Bengaluru
Each of these schools represents a story of transformation, where children begin the academic year with confidence, motivation, and the right tools to learn.
